Welcome to Excellence
Welcome to Excellence is the most successful customer service training initiative in the UK. The one day courses are organised across the county providing tourism employees with the skills they need to produce consistently high standards of service. In 2007/8, over 600 Cumbrian employees benefited from the one day training course.
The courses generally run from 09:30 - 16:30. The cost of one day courses includes all refreshments, participant guide, certificate and badge.

Welcome All
This course offers practical advice and guidance on providing a service to customers with disabilities and specific needs. It covers a range of sensory, mobility and learning disabilities, and concentrates on an individual's responsibility for effective communication, enhancing accessibility and delivering a high quality service to customers with specific needs.
Welcome Host
Welcome Host is a one day training programme designed to help participants to acquire new customer service and communication skills, and improve their knowledge of local facilities and services. Welcome Host focuses on providing higher standards of services to visitors leading to enhanced levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Welcome Host Plus
This programme builds on and extends the knowledge and skills developed through Welcome Host. It helps participants to develop further in their customer service and communication skills to enhance the quality of service, and ensure they are able to work effectively as part of a customer focused team and covert enquiries into sales.
Welcome Line
This programme is designed to give you the ability to use professional telephone techniques. The programme shows you how to create a favourable impression when on the telephone and to communicate effectively by phone and email. Welcome Line also informs you of how to use the telephone as a sales and marketing tool and how to handle difficult calls and complaints.
Lead, Motivate & Succeed
New for 2008. Aims to help supervisors and first-time line managers to lead, development and motivate their staff so the whole team delivers world-class customer service.
Welcome Management
Welcome Management is an ideal course for businesses wishing to measure key elements of business effectiveness and review the quality of your team's customer service strategy.
Welcome International
Welcome International is designed for those whose work brings them into contact with overseas visitors from non-English speaking markets. It provides a basic introduction to key phrases in foreign languages selected from Arabic, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Norwegian and Spanish. It also gives participants an appreciation of cultural differences to help them improve service standards.
