E-newsletters are a cost effective way of contacting lots of holiday makers already interested in the area to give your business a boost. You can promote what ever you like; your shop, restaurant, accommodation or attraction, an event or a special offer.
From the end of September 2010 the format of our e-newsletters will be changing to make it easier for you to get your message out to thousands of contacts all interested in the Lake District Cumbria. We have a schedule of e-newsletters issued throughout the year with either generic news about the area or more targeted "themed" news to our targeted databases. Please see below for details, schedule and prices.
We will be keeping our "Premium" advertising slots in the e-newsletter itself which can be used to promote your business however you want. Our "Standard" spots will now all feature on an exclusive online section of golakes, which will be linked to the e-newsletter (meaning only those who receive the e-newsletter can access this). This will allow the holidaymaker to click through directly to more details of the specific offer and enquire or even book the offer directly through the golakes website. Research and experience has shown that when an offer is easily bookable online you will get a better response. These slots will also be at the lower price of £45 + VAT to make this cost effective advertising accessible to all.
The "Premium" adverts will also click through to this section or your standard golakes entry. But if you would like to link your premium advert through to your own website instead you can now do this for a small fee. This also means that you don't have to have a golakes entry in order to advertise in our e-newsletters. You can take a premium spot and pay for the external link directly to your own site. Generic e-newsletter
The generic e-newsletter goes out to holidaymakers interested in the area, who haven't told us their specific interests yet. The e-newsletters general content is tailored depending on the type of person they are. These are issued bi-monthly to a large but less targeted audience mainly made up of older couples and families.
Themed e-newsletters
All the other e-newsletters are classed as themed e-newsletters. These go out to holidaymakers who have told us they are particularly interested in the themes. These go out quarterly or at key times in the season to smaller but more targeted audiences.
