A free marketing opportunity to help boost business – MyCumbria’s Flood Recovery Initiative

As part of Cumbria Tourism’s flood recovery initiative, MyCumbria is now offering businesses across the county the opportunity to join the card membership scheme free for one year. Until recently businesses had to be a Cumbria Tourism member to be part of the scheme.

Launched by Cumbria Tourism in 2012, MyCumbria is a card based membership scheme exclusively for residents of Cumbria, which offers discounts and special offers at local attractions, eateries, hotels and shops.

The scheme aims to encourage residents to make the most of what Cumbria has to offer, generating greater footfall within the county and increasing custom for local businesses.  Another advantage is to try to cut down the amount of loyalty cards we have, so instead of having a purse or wallet full of cards for various schemes we would like to make MyCumbria ‘the’ loyalty card to have.

MyCumbria offers businesses a new route to market, or an additional push to boost your existing trade in 2016.

There is a fantastic range of offers already in existence generating extra trade at times when you need an extra boost.  Existing offers range from 10% off in shops and cafes through to 2 for 1 on cinema tickets and Afternoon Tea.

Sam Tollerson, MyCumbria Executive said: “The MyCumbria card scheme is a simple and effective way to market your business and encourage more local trade at a time when we need it the most. We have a tried and tested system already in place for you to take advantage of so if you are interested in promoting your business through MyCumbria, then please get in touch today. It’s free to sign up and we can do the marketing and promotion for you.

Key benefits for discount providers include:
