How to manage, engage and nurture your staff from start to finish workshop
Given the serious challenges with recruitment and retention in the tourism industry it’s important you ensure the employee journey with your business is a positive one. Knowing what you need to do (by law) and what you can do (best practice) will help attract and retain competent team members.
This workshop will walk you through your employee’s journey with you starting with recruitment and concluding with their departure. We will talk about what you need to have done to comply with employment legislation and what you could do to make it a great journey for your employees. The employee journey (just like your customers’) starts before they even get to know you through your marketing (job adverts/your website and word of mouth).
We all know that not every journey goes smoothly and so we will also discuss ways of dealing with this whether it is disciplinaries, grievances or dismissals.
We will look at:
- Your recruitment practices
- Starting a new employee and their induction
- Their probation period and review
- Their time with you after successfully passing probation which will include managing performance, capability and grievances
- Engaging and motivating your employee (training and performance reviews)
- When an employee leaves (of their own choice or yours).
A light lunch will be provided.
