Social Media Inspiration
There are many ways to incorporate our #theplacetobe messages in your existing social media marketing. By including our calls to action, images and sounds you can help inform visitors of the wide range of activities available during their stay. All of our images are free for members to use (however please do not edit or crop the branded campaign images) but if you use others be sure to gain permission from the photographer and credit them within your post, even if they have tagged you in the image on social media. Don’t let this put you off however, sharing content from your visitors can not only help provide new content but also show your fans that you’re interested in seeing what they get up to during their visit.
If you’re an accommodation provider or restaurant why not lead with a picture of your cosiest room, or maybe your most photogenic winter meal to put across your business as the ideal cosy escape?
For attractions and activities providers, are you planing anything different for the holidays? Photos and stories about your winter activities can inspire your fans to book a last minute experience, and with many still on the lookout for Christmas presents your posts could be shared far and wide!
Cumbria’s scenery is truly stunning in winter and many will be planning to incorporate a walk or other adventurous activities as part of their break. If you offer these activities or know of a perfect location for them nearby let people know through your website and social media.
The dark nights and cold weather can increase risks for visitors – by focussing on less risky activities or incorporating the #BeAdventureSmart campaign into your posts you won’t just be helping visitors enjoy a safe activity, you’ll also be reassuring those with less experience that there are ways to get outside in Cumbria safely – click HERE for further information on AdventureSmart.
