Cumbria Tourism deals with hundreds of media enquiries every year, helping regional, national and overseas journalists to develop varied content to meet their needs.
We can help source images and travel-related facts/figures, as well as helping to set up interviews and filming opportunities with tourism and hospitality businesses and industry experts.
With advance notice, we are also happy to consider press and influencer trip requests and help journalists with itinerary planning.

Media Visit Guidelines
For accredited media looking for assistance with visits to the Lake District, Cumbria, we ask that you follow a few basic guidelines:
- Please contact us at least 3 weeks before you plan to visit.
- Fill in a press trip form or an influencer trip form as fully as possible.
- Agree – as a bare minimum – to reference visitlakedistrict.com and all websites for participating busine
Although we are unable to directly pay for transport to the county or overnight accommodation, we may be able to secure complimentary accommodation (or a media rate) depending on the media outlet – this is at the discretion of our member businesses.
