PR Team Help Keep New Museum on Track

On Saturday 23rd June, Ravenglass Railway Museum was re-opened to the public after an extensive redevelopment by BBC Antiques roadshow favourite, Paul Atterbury.

Cumbria Tourism’s PR team have been working with Ravenglass Railway Museum and Lake District Estates to promote the opening of this fantastic new attraction in West Cumbria, alongside ‘La’al Ratty’.

Thanks to Heritage Lottery Funding the museum has doubled in size and brand-new interactive exhibitions have been added alongside some 6,000 other objects ranging from 15-inch gauge locomotives and rolling stock through to uniforms, photographs and historic engineering items.

Our team helped gain extensive media coverage for the attraction including broadcast, trade, leisure and news publications. Including Travel GBI, Choice Magazine, ITV and Group Leisure & Travel.
