This report contains information on the volume and value of tourism to the county of Cumbria in 2022, with analysis back to the year of 2021 and the pre-pandemic 2019.
Information is shown for the districts of Allerdale, Barrow, Carlisle, Copeland, Eden, South Lakeland, and the Lake District National Park, as well as the new unitary authorities of Cumberland and Westmorland and Furness.
The report shows how many visitors came in 2022, visitor days, tourism revenue generated and employment supported. Information is provided by visitor type (day, staying), sector (food and drink, recreation, shopping etc) and also by seasonality.
