Cumbria Tourism’s Charitable Fund

To help boost future tourism talent, grants of up to £500 are available to those who are newly employed in Cumbria’s visitor economy, as well as tourism and hospitality students aged 16+ years who live and study/train in the county. New grant scheme open for rural businesses

Capital grants from £1,000 up to £49,999 with an average award of around £15,000 are being made available to rural micro and small businesses in Cumbria to support the purchase of new equipment and small-scale capital improvements to help businesses to grow, startup, diversify, innovate and improve productivity. 

The first stage is to complete an expression of interest. The deadline for submission for consideration at the first panel is 12noon on Monday 22nd June 2026 – early submission is preferable, you don’t need to wait until the deadline to submit.
