In this, our 38th year of the Hunter Davies Lakeland Book of the Year Awards we are delighted and proud to be able to continue our partnership with James Cropper of Burneside.
Whether formally acknowledged or not, virtually all of the hard-back books entered in these awards will be printed on James Cropper paper, so this association is both apt and appropriate and we are enormously grateful to both Sir James Cropper and Mark, his son, for continuing their support for us. It is a great honour to be associated with such an iconic Cumbrian business.
We continue to encourage and celebrate writing and publishing in Cumbria, and hope that we enhance the longstanding literary heritage of our County. These awards enrich the cultural profile of Cumbria and have raised thousands of pounds in funding for worthy charities with Cumbrian connections.
If you are interested in sponsoring the awards please get in touch via email@example.com
Thank you to our Awards Sponsors whose support is so much appreciated:

They specialise in print runs from 500 copies upwards, and clients range from local self-publishers to national book publishing companies. Several books entered here today were printed with the help of Latitude Press.
Bookends has two bookshops in Cumbria as well as a café and a website, www.bookscumbria.com, which is devoted entirely to Cumbrian books. This family run business regards the promotion of Cumbrian titles as the most significant element of their bookselling in Carlisle and Keswick. Under the Bookcase imprint they have also published over 100 books of local interest. Their long-standing and continued sponsorship of the Lake District Book of the Year reaffirms the importance they attach to all books with a Cumbrian connection.
The Bill Rollinson Award Association
