The Lake District Foundation was established in August 2017 and is a grant making and fundraising Foundation, working with the Lake District National Park Partnership. It builds on the work of Nurture Lakeland and is highly regarded for its ground-breaking Visitor Giving Scheme which has generated over £2.5million to date for local conservation projects.

The Lake District Foundation currently works with over 200 businesses in Cumbria who are actively fundraising in their business. Experienced LDF staff and volunteers are on hand to help businesses to achieve their fundraising goals, and their supporters report the following business benefits:

The route starts besides Keswick swimming pool, follow the railway path along a peaceful traffic free, tree-clad, path up to the first missing bridge, beside the River Greta. Enjoy.
