DESTINATION MANAGER

GRADE J – £34,106 – £36,153 per annum

With a compelling history, range of acclaimed visitor attractions, and a vibrant events programme, Carlisle is a growing visitor destination.

Building on this strong base, we wish to develop the tourism offer and promote Carlisle to regional, national and international audiences.

You will deliver a targeted place marketing approach (including the development of our new Discover Carlisle website); manage the Tourist Information Centre to ensure visitors are welcomed, and develop our city centre events programme.

You will need to develop strong and effective relationships with local businesses, tourist attractions and other stakeholders to ensure we maximise the benefits of our collective efforts.

You will have substantial experience in tourism management, event management or marketing and an understanding of local government.  You will also have excellent communication, organisation and project management skills.

Full time (37 hours per week) with flexible working out with Monday to Friday hours a requirement.
