We own and operate 18 UK country houses from Scotland to St Ives from which over 25,000 guests enjoy our UK walking holidays each year. UK Walking Holidays Manager

Hours: Full Time: 37.5hrs per week

Location: This role is based in our Penrith office on the fringe of the Lake District

Contract terms: Permanent

Salary Banding: £28,000 – £35,000 depending on experience

Responsible for: A team of six including the Operations Manager and Transport Manager.

Our UK Walking holidays are at the heart of our organisation. For over 100 years HF Holidays have operated holidays from our Country House hotels throughout the UK. This role oversees the operational delivery of our existing UK Walking holidays products and the development of new guided and self-guided holidays from our UK Country Houses. The aspirations of our guests continue to evolve, and it is expected we remain at the forefront of adapting our holidays to improve their desirability and profitability. Therefore, there will also be a specific emphasis on creating new holidays to attract new customers especially those guests labelled ‘next generation’ (pre-retired).

There is a team of six to manage as well as close liaison with other departments including our office in Elstree.

UK Walking Holidays Assistant Manager

Hours: Full Time: 37.5hrs per week

Location: This role is based in our Penrith office on the fringe of the Lake District

Contract terms: Permanent

Salary Banding: £22,000 – £24,500 depending on experience

Responsible for: no direct reports in office

Reports to: UK Walking Holidays Manager

Our UK Walking holidays are at the heart of our organisation. For over 100 years HF Holidays have operated holidays from our Country House hotels throughout the UK.

The aspirations of our guests continue to evolve, we continue to develop new holidays to suit the next generation (pre-retired) of guests. You will use your creativity and work with the UK Walking Holidays Manager to put together attractive weekends and longer holidays based on strategic briefings.

The role includes a specific focus on our Outdoor Escapes, Adventure Walks & our Walks with a Theme holidays and requires detailed itinerary planning and logistics from briefing leaders (guides) to the Transport Manager to help ensure the best quality experiences possible.

Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting some of our core UK Guided Walking programmes. These are a staple, running almost year-round at our UK Country House hotels and which require liaison with volunteer Field Workers among others to help maintain and refresh them

UK Walking Holidays Administrator

Hours: Full Time: 37.5hrs per week

Location: This role is based in our Penrith office on the fringe of the Lake District

Contract terms: One-year maternity cover

Salary Banding: £18,000 – £20,000 depending on experience

Reports to: UK Walking Operations Manager

Working as part of a team of 7, this varied role provides support to our Walking Operations, Marketing and Product Development teams; producing and updating holiday briefings and associated resources e.g. route maps and guides, guest Trip Notes and website descriptions for the full range of UK Guided Walking products.

With a specific focus on an agreed number of our Country House locations you will be responsible for ensuring all logistics are in place in good time
to ensure we can deliver the best experience possible for our guests. You’ll also monitor leader feedback and collaborate with a number of our “Field Advisors” to improve walks where required and co-ordinate ideas for new walks and holidays.

Abroad Administrator

Status: Part-time

Hours: 20hrs per week, 9am – 1pm Monday to Friday

Location: Penrith, Cumbria

Contract terms: Permanent

Reporting to: Europe & Worldwide Product Manager

Salary Band: £18k – £20k pa pro rata

This role provides day to day administrative support to the Europe & Worldwide product team on the holiday information provided to guests, local ground agents and our volunteer walk leaders for our Worldwide holidays (those operating largely outside Europe). You will also work closely with the Assistant Worldwide Product Manager, on current year operations.

Additionally, this role will involve cost control through the auditing invoices for our Europe and Worldwide holidays, ensuring payments are processed correctly.
