Principal Lecturer in Tourism Management
The multi-award winning University of Cumbria is a wonderful blend of old and new, founded on a rich educational history with institutions dating back more than 150 years, based at campuses in and around the Lake District and with a recent addition in London.
Having recently celebrated our 10th anniversary, we have a fast growing research reputation, increasing profile and place alongside national and international employers as well as multi-million-pound campus investments and exciting ambitions for the future.
The University of Cumbria’s Ambleside Campus is located within the Lake District National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It offers a uniquely attractive setting for students with a rich sector for applied learning. Our vision is to offer professional degree apprenticeships, short courses and an MSc in Sustainable Tourism appealing to domestic and international students.
We are seeking innovative, creative, high quality researchers, and scholars to foster a culture of exploration, discovery and intellectual challenge that generates international recognition, respect and engagement. This new appointment would lead the new MSc Sustainable Tourism and contribute to delivery of teaching in key areas of tourism management.
