English Tourism Week 2020 is taking place between the 25th and 31st May. This year’s campaign will be focussing on engagement with Government MPs and other stakeholders to highlight the importance of the industry to the wider UK economy and the need for support at this difficult time.
Cumbria Tourism has written to the county’s six MPs, encouraging them to share a video of the pledging their support to “Protect Tourism’s Future” using the hashtags #EnglishTourismWeek and tagging Cumbria Tourism and VisitEngland.
Any business or individual can do the same, with their video or post sharing how important tourism is to their local area and Cumbria as a whole. We will endeavour to share as many posts tagging us as we can during the week to highlight the depth and variety of tourism businesses throughout the county.
We have provided some sample Twitter copy, alongside downloadable graphics, but feel free to adapt for your business and for other social media platforms. Don’t forget to tag Cumbria Tourism (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and @visitenglandbiz (Twitter) in your posts.
